The Broadway League/ATPAM Career Pathway Initiative invites university students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to shadow touring ATPAM Company Managers for the entire week that a show is in a venue, from load-in to load-out. Participating venues are located across the country and connect touring Broadway to a pipeline of university students to provide access to possible career opportunities in the theatre industry. Participants can learn about box office reports, payroll, HR, and closing settlements. Included in the experience is the opportunity to meet with, and learn from, various union workers, including stage management and house management.

Since the 2011-2012 season, 68 students have completed the program with several alumni currently working in the commercial theatre industry. The program extended to include New York City theatrical offices in 2016-2017 and offers a wide variety of experiences. Future exciting plans are in the works for the program as it expands, including networking and community building opportunities. Learn more about the program below.
